Wishing You A Happy New Year

As I reflect back on everything that has taken place this last year were are so blessed. We have gained a new daughter in love, we have a home and a great church family. We have had a hard year in some ways but still we have so much. God is so good to us.

We are taking this time in the next few days to redo our goals for the coming year. We both are working on getting our health issues under control, and trust me that will be a full time job. We both want to be used more by God in whatever he has for us.

One of my goals is to do better at keeping this blog up to date.

I hope each and everyone of you have a wonderful New Year.

Hugs

Keith and Lisa Wedding Day

Our oldest son Keith got married yesterday to a wonderful young woman that I am so proud to call my Daughter. It was a beautiful day for a wedding. They had pictures taken at a local park and then at the church. The photographer was a friend of Lisa's. We are impatiently waiting for them to be finished. My DH and her father did the honors of marrying them. It was a small ceremony with just family and a few friends attending. We then went to Pino's a local Italian restaurant for the reception. We do have a few pictures that my DH and Megan Lisa's sister took and she has also edited them. They are the ones that I would like to share here.

If you are my friend or family on facebook you can see all of them in my photos.

Thanks for letting me be a proud Mom

My Try AT What I Learned From Michelle

This card is one of the cards that I have created using a brayer and the technique that I learned from Michelle. I really love the look that you can get from this technique. This reminds me of a California sunset, we lived in the San Francisco Bay area for 18 yrs and loved every minute of it.

This card is on Stampin Up card stock. The flourish stamps are Martha Stewart, the Palm tree is from Innovative Stamp Creations. the elements and inks are from Stampin up.

This card is using the same technique, this one reminds me of the area where my mothers family lived in Idaho not far from Sun Valley Lodge. In fact my grandfather and his oldest kids (which is my mother and his son) fell and got the logs out of this area for the Lodge at Sun Valley. They cut the trees with what is called a two man saw and dragged them out with horses. They also got a lot of the logs out for Ernest Hemingway's home in Sun Valley. My grandparents, my mother and her brother have passed but we have a strong heritage.

This card is on Stampin Up cardstock, used there inks and brads. The stamps are from Innovative Stamp Creation. Ribbon is from Big Lots and peeloffs from the UK. I really enjoyed making these cards. I have a long way to go before I am any where near as good as Michelle but it sure is fun practicing. I am taking her advanced class the end of August. I can hardly wait.

I hope everyone is having a great day

Love Ya!!!!!

My mothers family is having a family reunion and Memorial for my Uncle in Twin Falls, Idaho today and tomorrow. I sure wish I could have gone but wasn't able to. My grandparents had a farm with cows and horses when I was a little girl, Then my Uncle took it over when my grandparents move into town. I have great memories of the farm including milking some of the cows by hand. LOL !!!! So when I got this cute 3d image from my 3d group and I had to use it. I'm really not into cows but this graphic is so cute, I had to do it up. I hope you all enjoy looking at it as I did in making it.
The base of the card is from Stamping Up. The DP if from Hobby Lobby one of there scrap packs. The boarder is textured cardstock from DCWV, punched with a Fiskers punch. I got the ribbon from Big Lots in a clearance bin. The rhinestones are from Joann Fabrics. The sentiment is handwritten and punched out with an oval punch from Marvy. The inside is done with the DP and black boarder on Whisper white card stock

Have a great day!!!!

Southern Charm

I love this 3d image it reminds me of the Southern belles. I should have been born in the Victorian age but so glad that I wasn't. I love the look but am glad that I don't have to ware it.

The base card is from DCWV and the image is from my 3d group. The black card stock is from Stampin Up . The flowers and Rhinestones are from Spare Parts from Hobby Lobby. The border punch is from Fiskers. The leaves are from the same Fiskers punch. The Peeloffs are from the UK. Have a hint of Dazzling Diamonds on the earrings and on the flower. Wish you could see the layers on this card but all I have right now is my scanner so you can't get anything but flat images.
Had a great time doing this card. Hope everyone is having a great day

A Couple New Cards

I love this couple for Jim and I are slowly making our way to this age. On this card I used for the base kraft card stock and the DP is DCWV Luxury pad. The ribbon is from Big Lots and the flower is from Dollar Tree. The peeloffs are from the UK and the Rhinestones are from Joann Fabrics. The 3d image is from a 3d group that I belong to

This second card is of the same couple and it reminds me of when I was a girl on my grandparents farm and we had to take baths this way. Again this image is from my 3d group, the card base is DCWV, the ribbon is from Dollar Tree and the buckle and brads are from Stampin Up. The Flower and brad buddy is made by Spare Parts from Hobby Lobby.
I will try to do better at putting new things on my blog, last month was really busy for I did the crafts for Spotted Horse Ministries Bible Camp for two weeks. That was a real experience that I was so blessed to be a part of. They kids had riding lessons in the mornings and in the evenings they came back and had Bible camp. The first week was for kids 3 to 11 and the second week was for kids 11 to 18. This is a free camp and all the kids can learn to ride a horse in the morning sessions. If you would like more information go to Spotted Horse Ministries.

I hope you have a great day
