This year has been a trying year and also a good year. I have had some medical issues fixed and am doing so much better. I have been blessed with my family and most of all the love of my life Jim. He has been there for me through thick and thin. And I do mean thick and thin. In March I had Weight Loss Surgery and am doing really well. It has given me back so very much but I still have a way to go.
Then in Nov I had to have my eye removed and that and the weight loss surgery has been two of the best things I have ever done for myself. Having my eye removed has taken away all of the pain I was having and I'm able to spend more time on my projects. I'm looking forward to this New Year. I have a lot of ideas running around in my head. Now I just need to get them done and share them with you. I hope your New Year is going to be the best you've ever had.
May God Bless You and Keep You

Baby Girl Mini Album
Here is another mini album that I made for a baby girl. I made this one for a Great Grandma of her Great grandchild. The Grandma is giving it to her Mom for Christmas. She will bring me the photos to put in it, so in the mean time I thought I would share what I have done so far. The book is made from medium weight chipboard. I painted the edges with Delta Ceramcoat acrylic paint in white. Used designer papers for pages and tags. I used clip rings to bind it together. I made the accordion fold flowers.
Recipe: Medium weight chipboard - The backs
of designer paper packs.
Flowers - Prima, silk flowers that I took
apart to make my own and paper flowers
made by me
Rhinestones - Micheal's
Lace and Ribbon - From my days of doll
making. Joanne's, Hobby Lobby and Big
Lots
Buttons - Walmart
Fiber's - Big Lots and Dollar Tree
Designer Paper - Nana's Nursery by

My First Mini Album
Good Morning, It started out here in Indiana with a Tornado watch, high winds and rain. We live one block for the city square where the court house is an they have the sirens and the warning message so it's real hard to sleep though that. So I decided to post my mini that I made. The cover is made from medium weight chip board that I covered with crumped packing paper from Stampin Up. I ran a ink pad over it to give it a weathered look. The Spine is heavy handmade paper that looks and feels like leather. The letters are scrabble blocks that I distressed, the flowers are silk flowers and some bling. I have to have bling.
The inside pages are made out of lunch sacks cut down. I distressed the edges of all of the designer paper
I made tags for the inside of the bags and for some of the pages. This mini was so much fun to make and I hope you enjoyed seeing it.
Recipe: Chipboard - Backing for paper packs, scrap works,
Flowers - Walmart, Dollars Tree, Prima,
Stamps - Dollar stamps from Micheal's , Some that my husband got for
me at garage sale, Martha Stewart flourish stamps and others that I don't
know who made them.s
Ribbon and Fibers - Walmart, Hobby Lobby, Dollar Tree, Big Lots
Lace - From supplies that I have left over from my doll making days
Buttons - Walmart

First Tag
Since I have not been doing a lot of crafting I have watched a lot of tutorials on U-tube. There are alot of talented people out there. Anyway I found several that are doing tags, Mini Albums and so forth. So I said to myself you can make them also so here is my first Tag.
I also watched a lot on making flowers. The flowers on this tag are handmade by me. Yesterday the one on the shadow box was made of paper this on is make with ribbon. They are really alot of fun to make. The ribbon has wire on both sides. You can make them out of anything you have.

Shadow Box
Again here I am saying I'm sorry that I haven't been blogging like I should. It seems that life just gets in the way. I get past one thing and something else seems to take it's place. I was diagnosed 5 years ago with Glaucoma in both of my eyes. Because of it I have lost the vision in my right eye. Last Wednesday I went to see my Glaucoma specialists and he sent me to a eye surgeon for my eye has deteriorated to the point that it has to be removed. It causes sever migraine's. I had them also when the nerve was dying but now the eye itself is becoming hard from the pressure so on Nov. 16. I will be having this done. The surgeon said that it is an out patient procedure and I will be in the Operating room for 20 min to and hour. They will remove the eye and sew it shut for one week. They will remove the stitches in one week and then in 4 to 6 weeks they will put in a prosthesis. The Dr said that it will be hard to tell that it is a prosthesis that they are so advanced to what they use to be. I know that it is the best thing for me to do because the pain is not my friend and when in pain I don't do my crafts like I want to....... I know that God is in control and he will see me through this as well. He has in all the other things in the past. So I know he knows my future. But I would appreciate all the prayers.
So that being said here is a Shadow box that I made recently.
I had a great time making it. I also made the flower and the stick pin. The flower is made from pages out of an old dictionary. You cut round circles in two different sizes then you fold them in thirds, then use your deco scissors to cut them out. Then you can use Glimmer mist or what ever to color them. I use Perfect Pearls water colors for I do not have any Glimmer mist yet. You can put what ever you want in the center. I also distressed the edges with Distress ink. I put leaves, feathers and tulle behind with a strand of pearls that I colored with alcohol ink in the color Steam. I also used it to color the pearl and a clear bead on the stick pin. So much fun. I so used some Prima flowers around the edge.
There is puzzle piece that I covered in mini beads and glitter.
Recipe: Shadow box - Dollar Tree
White acrylic paint
K&Co designer paper
Picture of 1920's Bride - I can't find it right now but it is one of the Vintage freebie sites
Rhinestone flourish - Walmart and Michaels
Flowers - By me and Prima
I have two mini albums that I have made also that I will share in the next couple of days so please check back.
Thanks for looking and please leave a comment.

50 Years
My mother's baby sister Darlene and her husband Kenneth just went on an Alaskan Cruise with their children and some of their grandchildren to celebrate their 50th Anniversary. My Aunt Elaine and Uncle Cobby also went and they are celebrating 56 years. I was in both of their weddings.

Our Anniversary
Yesterday my DH and I celebrated our 39th anniversary. We had to go to Indianapolis yesterday for I had two Doctors appts. So being the wonderful man that he is we went to Micheal's Crafts Store. I got a Martha Stewart Scoreboard and a Craft Matte. He is so good to me. We went to Red Lobster for dinner. Just wanted to brag a little about my best friend.
Hope you all have a great day
