Vintage Style Bracelet

I made this Vintage Style Bracelet and had so much fun making it.  I started out using blanket seam binding as my base.  I used fray check to keep it from fraying on the ends.  Then I glued seam binding down the center of the blanket seam binding the then glued the edges together with fabric tack.   I then took some vintage lace that I have had in my stash, glued that to seam binding, then put on black lace that I got from Dee at Destash your Craft,  It's so yummy and soft  I also put silver mesh bling down the center of the black lace.   Then I put two rosettes on each side of the vintage brooch that I have had forever,   The concept of this is so easy and the possibilities  are endless.  Thanks for stopping by to take a look.  Please feel free to leave a comment for I do read each and everyone.  Have a great day.  Hugs, Donalda

Thank You Card

This is a quick Thank You card that I made for a friend.  She loves flowers and purple the same as I do.  So I used this Magnolia Stamp and colored her with Copic Markers and Prisma Markers.  I start out with a white card base then layered some Mary & Co paper from Michael's.  I used some flowers that I have had in my stash for a while and I do not remember where I got them.  The little flat flowers are recollections from Michael's that I got when they were on clearance.    I added bling to the centers of the little flowers and stickles on the dress.  Thanks for taking the time to stop by I really do appreciate your time and please feel free to leave a comment for I do read them,

Birthday Card for Hubby!!!!

Last Thursday was the love of my life's 62nd Birthday.  He is a real nut about Mickey Mouse so I had to make him a Birthday card with his favorite characters on it.  I started out with a card foundation from Michael's made of Kraft cardstock.  I then put designer paper from 7 Gypsies Off The Wall 6x6 paper pack.  I inked the sides with black soot distress ink by Tim Holtz.  I put twine around that and adhered it to my card base.  The pictures of Mickey and Minnie were from Pinterest I downsized them to fit the card and printed out several and inked them with black soot also.  The sentiment label is from Spellbinders and I used peeloffs that I from my stash that I had purchase from the UK several years ago.  Thanks for stopping by and taking a look at my newest creation.  Have a great day.  Please leave a comment for I do read them.

Shabby Rag Wreath and Suzie Crafter Inspired Pumpkins

Here's a couple things that I have been working on this week.  First is this shabby rag wreath.  I used a natural wreath that you can get at the Dollar Store and I ripped the muslin into strips.  Ties the muslin, vintage lace and tulle into the wreath.  Made the flowers and attached them.  I sprayed it with Lindy's Stamp Gang Scintillating Silver.  The pumpkins I followed Suzie Crafters Video tutorial and made these fun little pumpkins.  I used Muslin, Twine, Wild Orchid Craft flowers, Lindy"s Stamp Gang Spray in Scintillating Silver and Cadbury Milk Chocolate, and felt.  They were so easy and fun to make.  Thanks Suzie for the inspiration.  I used them at a ladies brunch we had on Saturday.
Thanks for stopping by and taking a look.  Please take the time to leave a comment for I do read them.

Rag Doll

Tried something new I made a rag doll.  Va (Bianca4430) on Youtube did a tutorial showing how she made these cute little rag doll.  I decided to give it a try and believe you me I had some challenges for I haven't sewn in years.  I always thought my Grandma was so cool because she could take a piece of material and just start cutting and come up with something fantastic,  Believe you me I'm not my Grandma it took me forever to figure out how to make it all work.  I had to do the bodice twice.  I am a lace hoarder (if you ask my DH he will say I hoard everything) so it was real hard for me to cut into the lace that I used.  I'm trying to get a grip that if I use it, it's ok. Even though I may not ever have it again,  I will find something that will take it's place.  Back to the making of the doll.  I used muslin that I have had in my stash for years and the lavender ribbon in her hair came from Lisa (Maggie2005cupcke)  and the large piece of lace that is on the bottom of her skirt is from Linda (GoinCri/CrAzY) that I won in one of her subbie giveaways.  Everything else was from my own stash. I lined the dress and made the pantaloons.  The shoes are lace and ribbon. I'm not sure  I like her face but once I drew it on there was no turning back.  LOL!!!!  My friend said she has an attitude.     I also made a little pillow that Va has a tutorial for.  Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by and please leave a comment for they are read and I appreciate each and every one of them .
