Amazing Altered Hard Hat for Liza

A few weeks ago I was watching a video on youtube by Jonnie(Tabasco14) showing a gift that she had received from Lisa (Maggie2005cupcake) and it was of a beautiful altered hard hat.  I made a comment that I needed to make myself one for those that know me I'm for ever walking into something and leaving welts and bruises on my head.  She was so generous and offered to make it for me.  OMW!!!!! It's beautiful.  I got it in the mail today and I can't tell you how gorgeous it it.  Pictures or video do NOT show how gorgeous it is.  All I can say is thank you Lisa for your generosity and amazing talent that you have shared with me.  I have also put a video up so go take a look and go visit Lisa's channel and leave her some love and tell her I sent you.  Have a great day.  Hugs Donalda

Love Sherri Baldy Digi Stamps!!!!

I love to color Sherri Baldy Digi Stamps.  She has so many to choose from and it's hard to pick just one.  This one I did in pink, white and black.  And of course can't for get the bling for that's what it's all about.  LOL!!!!  I colored her with copic markers (still learning).  The card base is 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 and I used Stampin Up cardstock.  The lace is from my stash that I have picked up at yard sales and different Antique Malls around here.  The bling is from Michael's.   Thanks for taking the time to stop by and take a look.  Comments are welcome for I read each and everyone.  Have a great day.

Altered Jar

I made this a while ago but never put it on here .  I altered a jam jar I used lace that I had gotten here at a local Antique Market in Centerville.  Every time we go there I buy all the lace she has.  Usually it's  like .25 to .50 a bundle.  The most I have ever spent was 2.00 on a 5 yard bundle.  I dyed my roses with Tiffany blue from Lindy's Stamp Gang and a pearl spray that I made myself from dollar store eye shadow.  I used bling and other embellishments that I had in my stash.  The picture of the little girl is from a free site but I can't remember which one for sure but I think it was Magic Moonlight.  She has some of the most beautiful Vintage photos.    This was a quick and enjoyable project.  Thanks for stopping by and please leave a comment for I love to read them.  Have a wonderful day,

Journal for My Husband

Well I tried my hand at making a journal for my DH for our Anniversary and I finally finished it .  Late but it's the thought that counts.  Right!!!!   He likes to journal and make dream books so I thought that I would make him one.  I had picked up several Zutter binders at Tuesday Mornings and so that became my base.  I cut my papers, distressed them then teas died them.  I then stamped some of them with things that I know that he likes and some sayings that he likes.  I covered pieces of cor-gated board with cloth scapbook paper that I got at Michael's.  The  door plate is from 7 Gypsies and the bookplate is Tim Holtz.  The Charm is made up of things that he likes also such as Keys to unlock the future and a lighthouse to show him the way and a ships helm to help guide him to a safe harbor and so on.  Thank you for taking the time to look at my creation and I would appreciated any and all comments.  Have a great day  Hugs Donalda  

Two New Cards

Today I made two cards using Flower Soft Stamps Called Moments in time.  I stamped them both with Memento black ink on water color paper.  I then use Tim Holtz Distress Makers and colored them.  Then I added the flower soft.  Then I assembled the cards.  The base cards are from Micheal's and the paper is some scraps that I have had in stash for a very long time.  I do believe that the pink and cream paper is DCWV but not positive.  The Rickrack and lace are from my stash also.  The ribbon in the inside of the card  I got from Seema Khan in a give away.  The WOC flowers are also from a giveaway that I won on Srapbooking with ME on Facebook.  Thank you for taking the time to look at my new creations and please feel free to comment.  Hugs Donalda

Our 42nd Anniversary!!!!

Today my best friend and the love of my life have been married for 42 years.  We have had ups and downs but what marriage hasn't but I can honestly say that I love him more today than the day I married him.  We have been through thick and thin and I mean that literately if you go down and read some of my blog postings, for at one time I weighed a lot more than I do now.  LOL!!!!  He has been the greatest of help mate, he took in my mother and my grand father and they both lived with us until they passed and he gave me 3 wonderful sons.  All I can say is I LOVE THIS MAN!!!!!!  Thanks for taking the time to share this with me.  Hugs Donalda
